eospatial Council of Australia partners with NGIS to support industry growth

The Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA), the peak professional body for the geospatial sector, is pleased to welcome NGIS as a Supporting Partner and Organisational Member. With a reputation built over 30 years, NGIS has been at the forefront of geospatial innovation, collaborating with leading geospatial technology companies to deliver impactful solutions that empower industries and communities.

This partnership signals a shared commitment to advancing the geospatial industry and creating positive change. NGIS brings a wealth of expertise in tackling global challenges through cutting-edge technology, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility. By working together, GCA and NGIS aim to amplify the impact of geospatial services across Australia and beyond.

Tony Wheeler, CEO of GCA, comments, “NGIS are true pioneers in geospatial innovation, and we are delighted to welcome them as Supporting Partners and Organisational Members of GCA. Their long-standing commitment to innovation and the value they bring to the industry is exceptional. We look forward to working together to promote the power of geospatial services and deliver positive outcomes for the sector.”

Paul Farrell, CEO of NGIS, states: “Our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility continues to drive our business forward. We believe creating value goes beyond financial success; it’s about making a positive impact on individuals, communities, and, ultimately, our planet. We are excited to join GCA and collaborate on initiatives that will benefit the industry as a whole.”

NGIS recently hosted GCA at their Perth office for a discussion with the Honourable Stephen Dawson about the findings of GCA’s recent economic impact study. The study revealed that geospatial technology is projected to contribute $689 billion to Australia’s economy by 2034, with Western Australia leading the way with a forecasted $190 billion impact on Gross State Product. NGIS exemplifies the transformative potential of geospatial technology in driving growth and sustainability, and this partnership will further build on that potential.
