About the Program

Are you an industry expert willing to share your knowledge and experience with a young and emerging professional? Or immensely passionate about what you do as a geospatial professional and looking to give back to the profession by being a mentor? Are you seeking career advice, looking to build your skills to elevate your career and expanding your professional network?

The Geospatial Council Mentoring Program provides a structured framework designed to guide young and emerging professionals in the geospatial industry to grow professionally. Currently in its’ seventh year, the GCA Mentoring Program will continue to provide a unique platform in the geospatial industry to connect mentees with a mentor.

We welcome participants from all areas of geospatial, all experience and backgrounds to apply! GCA is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Participate as either a mentor or mentee:

A mentor is an  experienced professionals who is passionate about sharing their expertise and helping the next generation of leaders in our industry.

A mentee may be a student or a professional looking to advance their career or develop specific skills.

Applications are only open to those living in the Asia Pacific region.

Resources

Accepted participants will be provided essential resources as part of the program. These resources will include the program handbook, topic cards, online access to the Mentornity platform and invitations to the online networking and panel session.

How to apply

If you can commit at least five hours total over the course of the 3-month program, then consider applying. Application is free for all individual members of the Geospatial Council or an employee of a member organisation. Non-member mentees will be charged a nominal fee of $77.
