We must though recognise that as a nation, there is still much to be done to close the gap for gender equity in pay and conditions as well as career advancement opportunities. As members of the geospatial community, we have a responsibility to champion equity and promote inclusivity in our field.
Achieving equity and inclusivity requires us to prioritise policies and practices that promote fairness and respect. It also involves creating an environment where every voice is heard and valued, and working to build a more diverse and representative geospatial community. Together, these efforts can help us create a stronger and more inclusive geospatial sector that reflects the diverse perspectives and experiences of our global community.
Below are some photos from our International Women’s Day breakfast event held in Melbourne. By prioritising equity and inclusivity, we can build a stronger and more vibrant geospatial community.
