Join us for our popular annual Brisbane conference, this year taking place on Friday 20 October 2023.

Once again held at the BCEC, the event is a chance for the Queensland geospatial community to learn about the latest projects and research, connect with colleagues and see the latest technology from local suppliers. 

This year, immediately following the conclusion of sessions, we will be holding the Geospatial Excellence Awards Reception, where all attendees will have the chance to enjoy drinks and canapes whilst celebrating our Queenslanders who are doing great things in the geospatial world. This function is included for all attendees!

Students

We are also fortunate to once again have the wonderful team from She Maps joining us onsite to host a student drone workshop. 

These Spatial Discovery Sessions involve two local high school student groups spending a couple of hours exploring applications of drone technology, understanding safety and drone regulations and learning how to fly and code educational microdrones. Being held at the same time and in the same venue as the conference, students can visit the exhibition to see the latest tech and hear talks from some real industry experts. It also means conference attendees have the chance to see the future of geospatial in action!

1. Refunds for Geospatial Council events are available up to seven (7) days prior. There are no refunds after this date, however registration can be transferred to a colleague. 2. Attendees at Geospatial Council events acknowledge they may be photographed and these images may be used by GCA on social media, our website or similar for marketing purposes. 3.
