Hydrospatial Relationships and Opportunities in the SWP Region
RegisterThe South West Pacific Region forms small island states and countries ranging from Timor Leste to Tonga and includes Australia and New Zealand. Frequent natural disasters and climate affect the regional maritime environment in which hydrographic surveyors work.
The hydrospatial activities in which hydrographic surveyors and other professionals may engage in the region include nautical charting, climate monitoring, maritime protection, port and harbour infrastructure, pre- and post-natural disaster, law of the sea, tourism, professional training, and other areas.
Hydrospatial work opportunities exist within the region. However, unless appropriate relationships are established between individuals, organisations or states, these opportunities may not eventuate. This webinar discussed relationship issues and how to overcome them.
