Lunchinar Inclusion@Work Survey Results

Register

Join host Dr Lesley Arnold, SSSI Fellow and President-Elect, for the recorded webinar for our International Women's Day "lunchinar'!

We heard from the Chair of the Space, Spatial and Surveying Diversity Leadership Network, the fantastic Amelia Davies, who will be sharing with attendees the important and insightful results from the recent Inclusion@Work survey. SSSI members Kerry Smyth and Roshni Sharma also share their perspectives.

The SSS-DLN is a group bringing together leadership from business, government and education to provide visible advocacy for diversity and inclusion within the professions of space, spatial and surveying.

The Survey
Peak industry leaders joined forces to establish a baseline for the state of diversity and inclusion across the space, spatial and surveying profession. The landmark sector-wide Inclusion@Work index will provide insights to help us shape diversity and inclusion programs that are responsive to the needs of our changing workforce, and ultimately boost employee productivity and wellbeing. Over 1000 people participated in the inaugural study over a six-week period from 16 August to 20 September 2021,

The Inclusion@Work Index covered three broad areas:

  • The diversity demographics of respondents, compared to the ‘Australian workforce’ as derived from findings from a nationally representative survey of 3000 Australian workers.
  • Respondent’s experience of inclusion, broken down into diversity cohorts, business, government and academic groups and compared to the Australian workforce.
  • The impact of inclusion on performance and wellbeing.
